Buju’s back with another disc of generic, righteous reggae with a strong roots orientation. The music comes off uninspired and Buju’s throaty voice doesn’t do much more than sound like a caricature of a reggae artist. Best songs include “Affairs of the Heart” and the African-flavored “I Wonder,” but Buju, if you’re gonna keep marching with the “one love” hit parade, you’re going to need better material. Otherwise, you won’t be memorable. –forrest green III
