Wendy Williams Talks MJ, Media Madness and The Chaos of His Funeral

 alt
Never one to bite her tongue, radio and talk show host Wendy Williams couldn’t resist the urge to speak out following the untimely demise of Michael Jackson. While many focused on their personal reflections of MJ, Williams delved further into the madness that is sure to come now that the funeral is rapidly approaching, as well as her disgust with how the media was handling his death.

Wendy on the media…
“I thought it was pretty nasty that not three hours after we heard the news that he passed, cable news channels were going into the child molestation and the Martin Bashir interview. Now you know how I am, but I am a sensible woman, and I just didn’t think that all of that was fair. Now we can think whatever we want to about what he went through, but at the end of the day, he is an icon. He was 50 years old. Do you know that 50 years old is young these days? When I look and see that pendulum chop someone off at 50, I see it coming closer and closer and closer to me.

Wendy on the funeral…
“I think it’s going to be cruel whatever happens at that funeral. It is definitely going to be ugly. I can’t even think of front row seating, but you know that every star wants to be a bigger star, and everyone wants to be seen, so it’s going to be crummy seeing people fight for their position. And then what about dividing the estate? I would hope that Jermaine and them would learn how to act, and that whoever’s in the woodworks doesn’t come out. Oh God, I just hope that it’s handled with dignity. I really feel bad for Katherine. No mother should ever have to bury her son. I just hope that her family isn’t running over her to get to money, but rallying around her.”
