Kid
Cudi, Asher Roth, B.O.B. and Pac Div performed for a packed house at
the Tabernacle for the Great Hangover Tour on Sunday night in Atlanta.
The alternative rappers drew a crowd of 80s-loving, blunt smoking
college kids that remained hyper-active throughout the entire show.
Check out how everyone did. jh

Pac Div – The
LA based group which opened the show while the sun was still shining
brightly outside, drew an animated response from the crowd as they
ripped through songs like “The Mayor.” The group showed they have the
goods to rock any crowd, using one of the core elements of hip-hop —
great emceeing.

Bobby Ray –
Before he even hit the stage, the crowd began chanting the Atlanta
rapper’s name just at the sight of his over-sized sign being brought on
stage. It was a longer set than most people have seen B.O.B. perform,
and the full wealth of his talent was on display. He played guitar, he
sang, he threw beach balls into the crowd, he rapped acapella, he
stage-dived and well — he conquered. Bobby Ray closed his 14 song set
with his Andre 3000-esque jam, “I’ll Be in the Sky,” which drew a
feverish response from fans. But the crowd went totally ape for his
encore “Haterz,” catching him as he stage dived into the crowd.

Kanye’s protégé, the ‘lonely stoner’ brought out all the stops for his
set, which basically meant an elaborate light show on a huge back drop
which changed from stars to swirls to images of the sky. At times Cudi
seemed a little frustrated, yelling at his soundman, and was at times
incoherent, but the crowd didn’t seem to mind. Mesmerized by the
lights, they rapped along with him word-for-word, and although Cudi
hasn’t released an album yet, he’s clearly reached an untapped
demographic. The highlight of his set was when he performed the “Day
‘N’ Nite” remix, which had the crowd jumping in unison, but he probably
could’ve skipped the encore.

Although a good portion of the crowd cleared out after Cudi left the
stage, Asher proceeded to rock, with his DJ, Wreckineyez wrecking shop.
From a huge blunt that he “shared” with the crowd, to a skit where he
ran through some of Atlanta’s most cherished jams, Roth, who came out
to the theme song from the TV show, Saved By the Bell,
rocked. Milking his college party boy character for all it was worth,
Asher’s creativity and unbridled energy put him at the front of the
class.
