New York Giant and star of the upcoming FOX series, “Brothers,” Michael Strahan discussed the two-year prison sentence of former Giant, Plaxico Burress on the “The Wendy Williams Show.”
On Burress’ sentencing, decided after he plead guilty to a weapons charge which stemmed from accidentally shooting himself in the leg in a New York night club, Strahan comments, “It ended up being a very messy situation, where I think a lot of it could have been avoided. It’s unfortunate that he loses two years of his life and his career and being around his family for something where in turn he hurt himself. But, they do have laws in New York, and that’s what they are. And, like I said, sometimes you have to man up. I love Plaxico, he’s like a brother to me and to see [this] is sad … I just hope he handles it well and gets through it, and comes back a better person.”
