Vicki Palmer: A Stellar Career, A Committed Professional

Vicki Palmer talks about her rise to V.P. of Coca-Cola Enterprise and her fulfillment of being a mentor to young kids in the community.
Vicki Palmer’s love and enthusiasm for what she does is palpable. As vice president of Coca-Cola Enterprises, she oversees the executive leadership team and the company’s treasury department. Over the course of her 25 years with the company, Palmer has worn a multitude of hats, from the first assistant treasure of Coca-Cola Enterprises, to senior vice president and special assistant to the CEO. But her greatest joy lies not only in what she’s attained professionally, but in how much she has been able to help others advance. Mentorship is her top priority. “Young people are the joy of my life,” she says exuberantly. “It’s all about giving back and what better way to give back than to spend time with young people.”

“My life is richly blessed by many exceptional young people,” Palmer continues. “I hope all of us reach out to the phenomenal youth in our community.” Palmer is an example of finding the perfect balance; not only is she professionally lauded, and community-minded, but her family is at the core of her success. Palmer’s family, husband, John (“Best friend and soul mate”) and daughter, Alex (“My ‘Mini-Me’ and my biggest cheerleader”) has been a source of inspiration and support for the busy executive.

Palmer’s recently announced retirement is the culmination of an accomplished career. She was honored as a Women of Excellence Hall of Fame inductee by the Atlanta Business League. “I can’t think of a better way to top my 33-year career. This is a wonderful gift … and I’m looking forward to seeing what the good Lord has in store for the next phase of my life,” she says. –todd williams
