How long does it take to earn a degree in Pharmacy?
Pharmacy has three programs in one. You can obtain an associate degree, a diploma, or [a] technical certificate. It’s one of the fastest growing programs of study in the United States. Pharmacy technicians can work in specialty shops, hospital settings and CVS or Walgreen’s.
What are the benefits of choosing a career in pharmacy?
The number one benefit is longevity — in pharmacy and health care. Because of the growing number of baby boomers who are aging and having to take medications, the need for pharmacy technicians [is] growing. This field is recession proof.
Why does the industry continue to grow?
Right now, there is a shortage of qualified pharmacists and an increase in buyers. The market will need more individuals as the health care industry continues to advance.
