Najee – Mind Over Matter

Renowned
smooth jazz artist Najee, is back with a new set which is quite
forgettable. To the initiated, Najee’s horn still sounds like it’s made
of aluminum foil, crafting candy confections for contemporary cats. The
affairs are remarkably uniform — up until the closer, “Moon Over
Carolina” which slinks up on you with vocals that enchanted the
listener. Najee is still by and large easy listening for casual fans
with a penchant for smooth jazz. Aficionados should look elsewhere. –forrest green III
