Rihanna’s Leaked Photos Could Spawn a New Law
When the photos of a battered Rihanna leaked on the Internet following
her alleged beating by Chris Brown, it outraged a lot of people. A
celebrity rights advocacy group called STOPaparazzi has taken up the
charge in Los Angeles, and is working to pass the so-called “Rihanna
Law” against the release of photos or any other information that
exploits victims. The petition reads that “if a private crime photo is
distributed, the receipt of money for that act is irrelevant and does
not diminish the detrimental effect such public distribution of private
crime photos could have on the victim, the case itself, or other
victims of similar crimes, etc. Just because the person who leaked it
may have done it, for example, because they were disgruntled or
vindictive or even, perhaps, to help the defense, and not for money,
per se, should not make it legal.” Chris Brown is due back in court on
April 6th for his arraignment.

Akon on Alleged Suge Knight Robbery: “We always had peaceful conversations”
Akon spoke to MTV about the alleged robbery of his producer, Detail,
who says that he was set up to be robbed by Suge Knight on March 25,
2009. “All I know [is] we always had peaceful conversations,” Akon said
of Knight. “I’m trying to figure out why it’s escalating to this
extent. We never had no problems.” Akon went on to say that the
incident would be resolved peacefully. The robbery allegedly stems from
a fight that another one of Akon’s associates had with Knight in
mid-February.

Fresh Weezie: “Hot Revolver”
Another Lil Wayne track from his upcoming “rock” album, Rebirth has
leaked. The song, “Hot Revolver” features Weezie moaning incoherently
throughout the mournful track. This is the second leak from the album,
the first being “Prom Queen,” which despite being trashed critically,
has still been a fan favorite. Rebirth was initially scheduled to drop
in April, but has been pushed back.
