Fashionistas from around the globe are convening in New York’s famed Bryant Park to preview the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection from the world’s leading designers including Tracy Reese, b. michael, TIBI, Ports 1961, BCBG, Herve Leger, Tory Burch and Ralph Lauren. Expected celebrities throughout the week include Kanye West, Amber Rose, Alicia Keys, Keyshia Cole, Holly Robinson-Peete, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Keri Hilson, Solange Knowles, Mario, Amerie, Chrisette Michele, Eva Marcille, Sean Paul and the Simmons sisters.
Top models will grace the catwalk to reveal the collections of up and
coming designers hailing from around the globe. “We are always pleased to embrace new designers at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week,” shares Fern Mallis, senior vice president of IMG Fashion. “We know this platform provides ample opportunities for these designers to do business in the market and to generate maximum publicity.”
The highly anticipated September features new clothing lines and designer surprises. Palm will present the brand new and strikingly thin Palm Pixi phone. Near the prominent Mercedez-Benz Saks Fifth Avenue is showcasing Globetrotter luggage, the historic Karl Baisch line created for the 1954 Mercedes-Benz 220 Coupe. Dolce & Gabbana Gucci, and Oriciani will underscore the travel theme with it’s weekender bags.
