Coca-Cola Enterprises

Public Affairs and Communications Representative

Opening doors to new markets and continuing dialogues with existing ones is an art in and of itself. Katelyn Jackson of the Coca-Cola Enterprises is executing  the practice with esprit de corps and panache.  As the legendary beverage company’s public affairs and communications representative she spearheads community initiatives along with media and government relations in Michigan and  Ohio. “The Coca-Cola logo is a trademark that’s known around the world. We’re charged with being responsible to [consumers and communities], and we take that seriously.  It’s just the right thing to do,” explains Jackson.

When the PR prodigy reads down the beverage company’s lengthy list of accomplishments and activities she radiates about Coca-Cola’s remarkable heritage and long-standing commitment to being an outstanding corporate citizen. Jackson was anxious to share the news about the company’s Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Week which recently concluded.

“It’s all about community stewardship and environmental stewardship. … All 73,000 of our global employees were engaged in some form of volunteer or community project. And they also hosted open houses to swing open the doors of their facilities to community organizations and elected officials … and just really become one with each and every community,” beams Jackson.

“Coca-Cola Enterprises has developed an aggressive strategy for meeting and exceeding goals in each of five focus areas which are, sustainable packaging and recycling, energy conservation and climate change, water stewardship,  and product portfolio well-being and diverse and inclusive culture,” Jackson concludes.
