Chris Brown Debuts His New Album Cover, Goes Space Age With His New Look

Since launching his comeback, Chris Brown has sported some
unique looks in his public appearances. From the red buttoned-across blouse/uni-tard
thing he was rocking in his really, really sincere apology video, to the
infamous powder blue bowtie and sweater combo (presumably ordered from the 1992
Boyz II Men Pastel Spring Line catalog), Breezy has kept it cheesy in his wardrobe
choices. Doesn’t make him a bad guy — no more than say, beating his girlfriend
to a pulp does — but it does make for an off-kilter switch from his previous
public image of happy-go-lucky teenage b-boy.

With the release of the artwork for his new album cover,
Brown continues with his (ahem) unique new look. The album, titled Grafitti,
is slated for release on Dec. 15th, and the cover features C. Brown standing in some
type of futuristic environment, overlooking a cosmic silhouette, rocking a body-fitting
X-Men-esque all black outfit. His cybernetic left hand is holding a spray paint
can, with a guitar (?) slung over his shoulder. Underneath the sprayed album
title, are an assortment of colorful goblins grinning mischievously.

Not sure what it means? Neither are we. Maybe it’s a
metaphorical representation of Brown’s state of mind; with the space locale
representing the alienation Chris Brown has felt since his fall from grace
earlier this year. The goblins might represent his inner demons running amok in
his personal and public life. His cybernetic hand? It’s an inhuman hand, which
represents the inhumane acts he committed with that hand and since those acts
aren’t indicative of who the ‘human’ Chris Brown is, the hand that committed
them may not be considered part of the real Chris Brown.

Or maybe he just thought it looked really cool.
