Lil Wayne On Way to Jail; T.I. On the Way Out — Tiny Gives Toya Advice to Cope

Lil Wayne On Way to Jail; T.I. On the Way Out — Tiny Gives Toya Advice to CopeIn an ironic and strange twist of fate, about the time that
rap superstar T.I. is scheduled to complete his yearlong jail sentence for a
weapons conviction, fellow superstar Lil Wayne is scheduled to serve a year for
his own weapons conviction.

Therefore Tiny, the mother of T.I.’s children, gave Toya
Carter, the mother of Wayne’s
daughter Reginae, some comforting advice on how to cope during this period. Tameka
“Tiny” Cottle and Antonia “Toya” Carter star together on the top-rated BET
reality series “Tiny and Toya.”

“I think Toya is a very strong mother and her and Reginae
they have a very close relationship. So you know, I think they’re going to be
just fine,” Tiny said following Wayne’s daughter Reginae’s 11th
birthday bash in Atlanta that included Lil Wayne, Tiny, Toya, Monica, T-Pain and Rasheeda.

“They are spending a lot of time together anyway. I think it
will take a little time because dad’s going to be gone, but she’s going to be
all right,” Tiny continued. “She[‘s] got me. I’m going to keep her busy. I got
through [it by] staying busy … and being with kids. That’s all I did.”

Wayne
also received emotional support from fellow rapper-writer T-Pain and his
mother, Aliyah Nagm. “That’s my dog. Anything he need[s], I’ll be there for him,
whenever. When he get out, I’m going to be at the front door, you know what I’m
saying. I don’t give a s— where he at. I’m going to be there,” said T-Pain, who
credits Lil Wayne for teaching him so much about the business. “I really feel
like … that n—- taught me everything, you know what I’m saying. I’m probably
going to be next to [go to] jail. That’s my dog.”

Nagm, who is working to co-star in a talk show with the
mothers of Lil Wayne and soul singer Neo, said the family will survive because
they are strong. “He’s been Lil Wayne for how long now? So this little setback
is just a little rest for him. It’s nothing that’s going to hold him down or
make him not be who he is or anything like that,” Nagm said. “They’re going to
prevail. This will all pass. Hell, I didn’t think that T.I. had served [so much
of] his time and he’s getting out. Look how quickly that time went by. It went
by real fast.”

That’s precisely what the Wayne family hopes hopes for, that time goes
by real fast. –terry shropshire
