Devyne Stephens hosted his second annual Christmas gala, Puttin’ on the Ritz: The Top Hat Affair, at the Atlanta History Center on Dec. 22.

Stephens made his grand entrance in a horse-drawn carriage with his business partner, Akon, at his side. The event celebrated the collaboration between Devyne Intervention and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Through his nonprofit organization, Stephens made a $300,00 donation to help Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding build a new children’s hospital in downtown Atlanta. Devyne Intervention will also focus on music-related initiatives for young people.

“I’m a Grady baby so the hospital is right across the street.  I’m extremely excited tonight, so we are celebrating giving back,” said Stephens.

The Christmas party was also a celebration of Stephens’ 20 years in the industry.

Sidney Miller, publisher of BRE Magazine, honored Stephens as the BRE 2009 Man of the Year.

The affair was a star-studded event with many of Stephens’ famous friends on hand, including Jermaine Dupri, Monica and Bryan-Michael Cox.

The evening kicked off with a Las Vegas-style show, replete with showgirls surrounding Stephens as he delivered a fabulous soft-shoe routine. He concluded his performance with a winter wonderland theme as faux snow fell from the ceiling. Guests danced the night away to music provided by DJ Trauma. –christian johnson
