On his 34th birthday, disgraced golfer Tiger Woods continues to be pelted by incoming rounds of rumors, innuendo and negative developments. One of the latest reports according to USA Today and Sporting News is that Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry MacGuire, Boyz N the Hood) has been tapped by Hollywood filmmakers to play Woods in a movie based on his life.
Woods has apparently also checked into an upscale Arizona rehab center for alleged treatment of some sort of addiction. A source told X17Online.com that “He has been there for a few days since his handlers forced him to enter the program. They feel that if he blames his cheating on addiction, the public will forgive him.” The source adds, “Tiger wants to get back on top. He agreed to put golfing on hold so he could show the world how badly he feels about what he’s done and to prove that he wants to correct the problems that led to his infidelity.”
There are also reports circulating that the world’s number one golfer has yet to be seen or photographed publicly since Thanksgiving weekend, when his world unraveled at mach speed following his slow-speed car crash outside his home. Renowned American sportswriter Furman Bisher, says Woods won’t chance having his face seen until he heals from facial surgery for severe injuries inflicted by wife Elin Nordegren precipitating that infamous crash.
Bisher wrote in his blog that Woods “underwent plastic surgery to cover up the injuries sustained when his wife Elin allegedly struck him in the face with a 9-iron golf club after a row over text messages. The blow fractured Woods’s cheekbone and almost knocked out his two front teeth, prompting the celebrity golfer to seek plastic surgery.”
The TV gossip show “Entertainment Tonight” reported that Woods was recently spotted with his first mistress, Rachel Uchitel, in Palm Beach, Fla. When probed by the media for confirmation, Uchitel replied ‘no comment,’ a response the New York Post says is deliberately evasive and coy in order to drum up self-serving publicity.
Last reports indicate that Woods piled some belongings onto his multimillion-dollar yacht ‘Privacy’ and set sail for the open seas while his wife reportedly spent Christmas with their two children in her native Sweden.
