Katt Williams Wanted for Battery and False Imprisonment

katt williamsWhen it rains, it pours, which is murder on Katt williams’ career AND his permed ‘do. TMZ is reporting that the embattled comedian is in trouble with the law, yet again.

This time, Katt is facing arrest on warrants for battery and false imprisonment issued back in December for an alleged incident that happened Nov. 12 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta. It’s alleged that he punched a cohort, Merion Powers, in the face over a dispute. Isn’t this the same hotel he was thrown out of around that time after claiming he lived in the building?

According to the police report, Powers claims Katt invited him to the hotel to discuss a debt and things got heated. Powers proactively pressed the record button on his cell phone and captured the whole incident.

Willams was overheard on the audio recording stating that he “did physically strike Mr. Power’s once in the nose” and that Powers’ nose “did show signs of swelling,” according to the report. Katt wasn’t arrested at that time, but warrants were issued on Dec. 28.

A source connected to Katt says, “Powers was attempting to extort the comedian over a musical recording made by Williams, and when Williams told Powers to pound sand, Powers’ pal called the hotel security [and] security called the cops. But the cops didn’t believe Powers and left without arresting Katt.”

At press time, Williams was still free. –gerald radford
