Mobile Jackpots: Former Jaguar Jerry Porter Reports $312K in Jewelry Stolen From Vehicle

Jerry Porter

Former Jaguar wide receiver Jerry Porter, 31, says $312,000 in jewelry was stolen from his car last month in California, although he just alerted authorities last week. Does this sounds suspiciously familiar? Keep reading.

Usher … er, Porter told Alameda Police the jewelry was taken from under his car seat in December while he was inside an Oakland AT&T store … er, salon getting a facial, The Oakland Tribune reported.

They said Usher … er, Porter, who lives in Alameda, said he last saw the jewelry Dec. 7 when he put it in a bag and slipped it under the seat of his black 2007 BMW M6 (are these celebs homes really that unsecure?), but didn’t discover it was missing until 10 days later.

The Tribune said Usher … er, Porter blamed the reporting delay on being too busy to notice and he had also recently shipped the BMW to Florida, where he’s moving.

After a long career with the Raiders, Porter made the Jacksonville roster in 2008, signing a $30 million contract, but was released prior to the start of this season.

So, released from contract, $312K in stolen jewelry … police are still investigating the scam … er, incident.
