Wyclef Jean will appear live on Oprah Winfrey’s show today to talk about his experiences in Haiti since the cataclysmic earthquake ravaged the already impoverished island nation.

Rihanna will also appear and sing — or rather, sputter — through the cover of Bob Marley’s classic “Redemption Song” live on the “Oprah” show. Proceeds from the sale of the song will go to the “Hope for Haiti Now” earthquake relief fund via iTunes.

According to media reports, Wyclef will get into an emotional rant about how his people are being treated like rodents by the so-called relief teams from other nations. “My people are not animals,” he thunders in his striking Haitian accent regarding how food is being thrown from helicopters for the Haitian earthquake victims to scramble for on the ground. –terry shropshire
