Kanye West NOT Banned from Haiti Relief Telethon, MTV Rep Says

alt

Even when Kanye West lays low, his name still takes a thrashing via internet gossip.  He’s just that, well, special.

The latest rumor has the “Heartbroken” rapper banned from Friday’s “Hope For Haiti” telethon due to his antics on live shows as in the George Bush comments in 2005 Concert for Hurricane Relief and the   2009 MTV Taylor Swift debacle.

Twitter was all abuzz with the hoax, which spread like wildfire throughout the blogosphere. “Sources” were even chiming in with statements like:

“Kayne has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight and, well, this night it’s just not about him,” a source told AOL’s Popeater.

An MTV representative, however, has denied the rumor. “That’s absolutely not true. We DID reach out to Kanye,” the rep told usmagazine.com.

West remains mum on the issue.
