Kemp, a star baseball player with the Los Angeles Dodgers, said Felisha Terrell filed a restraining order against him, falsely accusing him of intimidation and abuse, when he terminated their romance and tried to kick her out of the apartment that was leased in his name. Terrell later withdrew the restraining order complaint, Kemp says, because it was baseless and was filed in order to prevent her from being literally kicked to the curb.
Kemp dispatched his agent to disseminate this statement in the media: “Matt dated Felisha about two years ago and decided to end their relationship. She chose to file a complaint and shortly thereafter, on her own accord, decided to drop it based on the fact that the statements made within were false. She has very recently said that she has no issue whatsoever with Matt and that she and Matt consider this to be a non-issue. Matt Kemp is a consummate Midwestern gentleman who has never displayed any act of violence towards a woman.”
So what ultimately triggered Terrell to take such a drastic action against Rihanna’s new boy toy? According to Kemp’s camp, the answer is simple. Kemp ended the relationship soon after they moved in together. He refused to give Terrell $20,000 to move and she subsequently filed the restraining order to stall or halt the order to vacate the premises. Kemp’s teammates and colleagues in the game came to his rescue and squashed the drama before the volatile situation exploded in the media and ruined his reputation. Today, Kemp and Terrell are said to be cordial.
The question remains, however: why did this information about a restraining order get leaked to the media now? And who leaked it? –terry shropshire
