While studying for his bachelor’s in business administration at the prestigious Morehouse College, Jonathon Penn discovered his love for modeling. “I modeled on and off while I was in college but I’ve just recently taken it seriously over the past year,” he says.
The young model is prepared to handle the competitiveness of the industry, and although he is not signed to an agency yet, he is ready for his close-up. “I’m branding myself and once I find that agency that fits well with me, then I’ll sign. I need someone that likes me, and will be able to promote me the way that I want,” Penn says.
The new year has already presented amazing opportunities for Penn, who recently appeared in the New York Fashion Week show for Marisol Henriquez. He has been featured in publications such as Ford magazine, and is taking acting classes to enhance his craft.
“I look at modeling like painting on a canvas, because you are creating art with your body. I am on a journey of mastering myself, therefore I am fearless,” Penn says. –christian johnson
