How did it feel to put win the NBA All-Star MVP before a record-breaking crowd?

It was great. This was an historical event. It’s going to be in our minds and our hearts for a long time. Just to be able to put on a show and get the win was a terrific feeling. I’m happy we got the win. It was a game that went down to the final shot and I was able to contribute.

Did you have to block out the crowd to stay focused, or did you take it all in?

I took it in. It felt like we were on a stage. But when the game started, it was just basketball. Playing in the NCAA tournament, it’s kind of that same feeling. I adjusted to it immediately.

What are some of the things that you have done off the basketball court this weekend?

This was a special weekend. Not only in the game of basketball and winning the MVP, but I was able to drive the message for people to continue to support Haiti. I walked away knowing that we have helped lives through my foundation and what we did for Haiti by speaking out and gaining support.
