Duke Lacrosse Accuser Charged With Trying to Kill Boyfriend

alt

Disgraced Duke false accuser, Crystal Gail Magnum, now stands accused of her own crime: attempted murder. In 2006, she incited racial division by claiming that three white Duke lacrosse players raped her when she was hired to provide exotic dancing for the group. Yesterday, she was charged with attempting to kill her boyfriend.

Police say Magnum, 31, set fire to her boyfriend, Milton Walker’s clothes in a bathtub during an argument at their apartment and threatened to stab him. When police arrived, she tried to start another fire, the News & Observer reported.

Neither the boyfriend nor any of Magnum’s three children were injured in the incident. A judge ordered the ex-dancer held on $1 million bail, on charges including attempted first-degree murder, five counts of arson, simple assault, resisting arrest, and child endangerment. –gerald radford
