College football star Kendall Berry was stabbed to death last night on the campus of Florida International University. Reportedly, Berry was killed after being involved in an argument that occurred at the school’s recreation center.
Miami-Dade Police detained a person of interest, but no suspects have been charged with the crime. Students and faculty members are grieving over Berry’s death and school officials are offering students security escorts around campus.
Berry, 22, received national recognition last season after he scored three touchdowns in 13 minutes against Middle Tennessee. He is survived by his parents and seven brothers and sisters. –a.r.
