Controversial neo-soul singer Erykah Badu may face criminal charges after Dallas police received a formal complaint about her public nudity during a guerrila-style video shoot.
An unidentified Texas woman filed the complaint against Badu, who got butt-naked at the end of her video for the single “Window Seat” in Dealey Plaza in the heart of Texas. It is the same location where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963.
Reputable news gathering organizations and blogs alike have been abuzz since Badu released the video showing her getting out of her car and stripping off layers of clothing while walking to Dealey Plaza.
Law enforcement officials said the woman filed the complaint after she and her mother reportedly witnessed Erykah shooting the video completely naked, TMZ reports.
The Dallas Police Department would only say the matter is under investigation, but did hint that the singer faces several possible charges which include disorderly conduct. –terry shropshire
