No need to hide the women and children and keep the hospital emergency room on alert. Singer Monica and actress Vivica A. Fox have officially squashed their beef in the name of estrogenic unity.
Monica apologized to her fans and patched up things with Fox a day after the sensational R&B singer ripped into Fox for harshly judging Monica’s wardrobe choices at the BET Awards in Los Angeles. Less than 24 hours after she called Fox old and devoid of any reputable fashion skills, she alerted Twitter world that she doesn’t have the stomach for this kind of verbal squabbling.
“I’m getting so many tweets about this civics fox situation that it’s driving me nuts,” she said in the first of multiple tweets on the subject. “Her response to me hurt my feelings earlier, so when pushed I bite back.”
Monica was originally irked, not so much by the critique of her wardrobe but whe she considered was the lack of class and taste on the part of Fox. “It’s okay if u don’t like something I do or wear but I felt it was said nasty,” she continues in her tweet. “I can tell u I am DONE with the subject.”
Monica said she did the ladylike thing and called up Vivica and had a woman-to-woman chat. She said there is no beef and she fell victim to her own impulses when she got hurt. “Excuse my outbursts. I’m human and have given myself a positivity checking:),” Monica tweeted.
What was more impressive was the fact that Monica revealed real vulnerability and admitted that she is still evolving in the maturation process. “I am human and I still find myself affected when I am being judged,” she tweeted on, saying they have nothing but mutual respect for one another. “And in true lady form she told me that she has nothing bur [sic] love and respect for me and was there to do a job. And that I can respect. Everyday, I learn & I grow. This was just another great lesson. Much love to Vivica. Real recognizes Real. 🙂
Don’t you wish the brothers could handle their beef as smoothly and efficiently as Monica and Vivica? –terry shropshire
