By signing a six year $110 million deal with the Miami Heat, LeBron James abandoned snowy winters in Akron, Ohio for sand and sun in South Florida.
According to reports, James will purchase a $49.5 million home in Coral Gables, Fla., that was once owned by the Heat’s president, Pat Riley.
The home features eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, 880 feet of waterfront, a master suite with a gym, and a private guest suite.
Ohioans are still upset that James decided to leave the Cleveland Cavs for the Heat. A bar in Cleveland called the Great Lakes Brewery recently honored James with a beer called the “Quitness.”
Now that James has a new home in Coral Gables, will he ever be able to return to Ohio without catching flak from disappointed fans? –a.r.
