Flo Rida and Other Stars Celebrate the Premiere of ‘Step Up 3D’

The word  repeatedly used at the El Capitan Theater for the Step Up 3D premiere was “magical.” From the actors, dancers, and even rap star Flo Rida, all parties in attendance seemed genuinely excited about their involvement with the first ever 3-D dance movie.

Set to hit theaters Aug. 6, Step Up 3D is an exciting venture by Touchstone Pictures and Summit Entertainment, as they attempt to tap into a dance market currently thriving thanks to the success of reality shows like “So You Think You Can Dance” and Dancing With the Stars.”


When asked about the excitement surrounding the film, Flo Rida was just glad to be there to take it all in. “This is great,” he shared on the red carpet, as fans screamed his name behind police barricades. “I was a part of the second film, so I’m just glad we get to do it all over again.”

Flo Rida’s single, “Club Can’t Handle Me” is the lead single off a star-studded soundtrack that fuelFlo Rida and Other Stars Celebrate the Premiere of ‘Step Up 3D’s the nonstop, exciting dance moves of the movie — some of which were even shown on the red carpet. Actress and former Missy Elliot dancer Alyson Stoner summed it up best before entering the theater. “It’s gets no cooler than this,” she said with a big smile.” Agreed.
