Not only is Alicia Keys seen as seducing and stealing a married Swizz Beatz from his wife, she has also entered into a union with a man who owes millions in back taxes.
Kaseem “Swizz Beats” Dean owes the Internal Revenue Service in excess of $2.4 million in delinquent taxes. Accumulated since 2006–08, the total package is part of a larger seven-year debt due to 35 different tax liens from the IRS.
Good thing Keys, 29, is cranking out the hits and can cushion Swizz Beatz, 31, fiscal fall should the IRS wanna pull a Wesley Snipes on him.
Is Beatz broke? No, not necessarily. He made over $8 million in 2008 alone, according to Forbes magazine. Besides, if Beatz was broke, he and Keys would not be shopping for a $14 million house. Yet, starting out a marriage with more than 30 tax liens, child support and tax debt in the millions, might put a strain on the relationship. And it will definitely put a strain on her if Beatz winds up behind bars.
“Because these are tax liens, Alicia has to be concerned what will happen to her husband. Look what happened to Wesley Snipes,” Dr. Taffy Wagner, owner of Money Talk Matters and author of Debt Dilemma, said to blackvoices.com “The IRS doesn’t discriminate based on celebrity. If you owe them money, you owe them money.”
