Grammy-winning singer Faith Evans was arrested early Sunday for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to TMZ.
The 37-year-old widow of rap legend Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace was busted at a sobriety checkpoint near Marina Del Ray, Calif., a prosperous, seaside, unincorporated area in Los Angeles, about four miles north of Los Angeles International Airport.
Evans was released about four hours after her apprehension.
This is far from the first time the songbird has been busted while driving. In 2004, Evans was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances — marijuana and cocaine — during a traffic stop in Atlanta while riding with her husband, record company executive Todd Russaw.
Following that incident, the couple was ordered to spend 13 weeks in an addiction treatment program.
