Trey Songz was given the “Target treatment” last night in Atlanta to celebrate the release of his fourth studio album, Passion, Pain & Pleasure. Target hosted a private album release party for the GRAMMY®-nominated R&B superstar that brought out celebrity supporters, including a very humble King of the South, T.I.; Bobby V; Jalen Rose; Jazze Pha; Devyne Stephens; Nate Walker; Sammy; and a host of industry VIPs, Atlanta socialites and influencers.

Songz partnered with the popular retailer by giving them exclusive rights to a deluxe version of his album that includes four additional LIVE tracks and 30 minutes of video content.

“I’d like to extend a special thanks to Target for carrying my exclusive CD and fourth studio album and for putting all this together. They had a lot of belief in me and this project to carry this special package,” he said.

“I feel like this is my best album and I feel like a lot of you have watched me grow from a young man to a man over the five years that I’ve been putting these albums together … and tonight I want to celebrate.”

The exclusive event was held on the rooftop of the posh VENTANAS in downtown Atlanta and Target spared no expense in creating a sensuous atmosphere that complemented the album’s theme. The signature drinks, Passion, Pain and Pleasure were flowing, delectable hors d’oeuvres created by “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant and chef Jason Ellis were being passed around and platinum producer-DJ Don Cannon (50 Cent, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Young Jeezy) handled the tunes. –gerald radford
