Serena Williams and Common are back together again.
Things seem to be going back and forth between Serena Williams and Common faster than one of her on-court volleys.
Media reports that the tennis titan and rap superstar have rekindled their long-term relationship after a brief split over the summer.
Serena and Common, who were together for two years before their union seemed to get crushed under the weight of their demanding schedules, have been photographed on several occasions recently. First, BFF LaLa Vasquez sent out a twitpic prior to the U.S. Open Grand Slam event showing Serena and Common in bed together with others as they celebrated Serena’s birthday. They were also providing Serena with moral suppot as she was very depressed from having to withdraw from one of her favorite tennis tournaments.
Then on Monday, Oct. 6, Common and Serena, whose foot has healed significantly, were spotted leaving the football game between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots. Earlier that day, witnesses told media and blog sites that they were seen frolicking carefree on nearby South Beach.
While we’re on the subject, there are several other urban couples we wish would connect back up:
Lance Gross and Eve Marcille: This union’s implosion took everyone by surprise and there has yet to be a plausible explanation as to why their seemingly solid relationship fragmented near the altar.
Chilli and Usher: Based upon Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas’ extended contribution on Usher’s VH1’s “Behind the Music” special recently, she still has strong feelings for the R&B crooner. And fans have not been very excited about Usher’s choice in women since the two split up.
Janet and Jermaine: Even though their relationship deflated like flat tires when their musical collaborations became as stale as dried-up oatmeal, we needed these two Hall of Fame-caliber musicians to stay together so that the little guy (literally and figuratively) can feel he has a chance to land a princess once in a while.
