Police officers in Raleigh, N.C., are investigating the murder of 52-year-old David Green Jr. Green’s family members became suspicious after he missed the funerals of two close relatives. Green’s family filed a missing person’s report and hired a private investigator.
This week, authorities discovered Green’s headless body inside a freezer in the home he shared with his girlfriend, Wendy Green, and their children, David Green III, and Alexis Green, 17.
Authorities believe that Green was killed by his girlfriend and kids and his body had been in the freezer since the beginning of 2009. They also believe that his body parts were fed to the family’s pit bull and they showed off his disfigured body to their friends.
Wendy Green is being charged with first-degree murder and is facing a felony conspiracy charge. The couple’s children will be charged as adults. –a.r.
