The theme for Keri Hilson’s latest album leaves no room for interpretation: No Boys Allowed. But judging from our first look at the photos supporting the album’s promotion, I can only imagine that the “boys” she’s speaking of are at this very moment getting their act together so they can be invited to the party.
When the Atlanta native explained the concept, she described what so many women are experiencing as it pertains to relationships … especially in her hometown.
“I knew I wanted my album title to represent women. Most of my songs are about how hard it is to weed through the boys and find the men. So no boys allowed. Men only. I wanted the artwork to capture that. I’m with my girls. It’s like the day in the life of unruly bad bitches. Unapologetic. Wreckless. Independent,”
Only time will tell if this new direction leads to increased album sales. In the meantime, check out the behind-the-scenes video from the shoot. –djr
