“Sometimes when you’re on the inside of a relationship like that, you can’t see it clearly for what it is,” she tells the magazine. “I left — it was the best feeling. It was so freeing … I witnessed it happening to my mum and I said I would never let that happen to me — and then it was happening. Now, when I look back, it bugs me out that I couldn’t see it for what it was.”
No harm, no foul there, right? Well, after the excerpt from the upcoming cover began to make the rounds in the blogosphere, a fan reached out to express displeasure in Rihanna constantly talking about Chris Brown. She tweeted:
greenangeleyez1: I luv u bt it’s time u stopped talking about the situation with chris in interviews. How r people gonna move on?
Although she has well over 2 million followers, Rihanna was quick to respond with the following passionate tweets.
“AGREED! People won’t stop askin abt it! Its f—-n annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can’t respect that!”
“I get it, they wanna raise awareness to young girls … But it ends up just makin me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!”
So true. Well let’s just hope that magazine editors from around the world read the tweet as well, because the Rihanna-Chris Brown story has long been played out.
In other news, the superstar continues to burn up the charts with “Only Girl (In the World)“ and “What’s My Name” featuring Drake, the songs hold the No. 1 and 8 spots on the Billboard 100 chart, respectively. Take a look at her latest video, “What’s My Name,” below. –djr
