Nov. 30 was an eventful day to say the least, as rolling out teamed up with Kandi Burruss from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” to shoot a sexy cover spread for the Dec. 9 edition of the magazine. While the rain poured outside, Kandi brought the thunder inside as she opened up about sex, bloggers that hate, and beefing with grown people on Twitter. Here’s a snippet of our 45-minute candid conversation with Kandi.
How do you feel about gossip bloggers? They seem to talk about you a lot.
I have to admit, I’m one of those people who actually go to blogs and reads them. But when they are dogging me out, it doesn’t feel really good.
Is there a blogger out there that you wish you could just smack?
Everybody knows that there is one blogger out there that would bring that out of me, but I am not even going to waste any energy saying her name.
(Editor’s note: Kandi and gossip blogger Sandra Rose have had a long-standing feud based on the salacious and borderline slanderous posts made by Rose.)
We understand. One blogger (the aforementioned Sandra Rose) recently called you a whore. How did that make you feel?
The tough thing about being a woman who is a celebrity is that you can’t be seen out in public with anyone because they want to automatically tie you to that person. I’ve been in the entertainment industry since I was 16, and I’m 34 now. That’s a long time. So in the time span, if you can only link me to 5, maybe 10 people, how am I a whore all of a sudden? It’s not fair.
