Chrisette Michele Opens Up To ‘Rolling Out’

Never one to be shy with words, songstress Chrisette Michele was an absolute study of discovery in a recent cover shoot and interview with rolling out. Whether she was discussing the creative process on her latest album, as in “I wanted to get away from anyone that had an opinion,” or contemplating her decision to question the integrity of today’s hip-hop generation, every answer was as compelling as the beautiful subject. “As a lover of the music and the culture, the hurt that I expressed was genuine hurt,” says Michele regarding the quality of what listeners are getting from some hip-hop artists.
