Y. Dyan Matthews was all smiles at the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce‘s open house in December 2010. Rightfully so. She was celebrating the move to their new location at 5155 Westpark Drive, SW.
“We are excited about the move and hopefully serving as an inspiration for the community and businesses to come in and use our resources,” she said.
The chamber plays a key role in the community. One of its major attractions is the opportunity for members to network with other professionals, and take advantage of its public relations services for a nominal fee.
“We represent small businesses, mom-and-pop shops, single owner [and] mid-sized to major companies. We also have an open-door policy for nonprofit organizations. We really reflect the community; we have a make up of all kinds of businesses and genders. I want to encourage everyone to come on by and take a look at our office space. Find out how your chamber can help you.”
Matthews is responsible for directing the management and operations of the organization, increasing membership and expanding programs and networking opportunities for members.
“All of my past experiences led me to working on behalf of the residential and business community in South Fulton,” Matthews shared in an earlier interview with rolling out. “I love being able to help our local businesses and residents in our quest to make South Fulton the best place to live, work and play.” –yvette caslin
