Michael Vick's High School Refuses to Display His Jersey

Since serving time in prison, Michael Vick has done an admirable job of speaking to teens about making the right decisions and winning fans over by earning the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award in 2010.

However, his return to grace has yet to satisfy the administrators at his former high school. Vick’s jersey was removed from Warrick High School following his dog-fighting conviction in 2007.

But students who currently attend the school petitioned to have Vick’s jersey reinstated by sending letters to school officials and starting a Facebook page to drum up support.

But the administrators at Warrick High believe that Vick’s jersey would cause a distraction and could provoke vandalism or be stolen.

It’s highly unlikely that the current principal will reconsider. –a.r.
