Stars step up and get decked out in their seersucker, linen, sun dresses and straw hats for b. michael America’s BLUE event. The fashion soirée was held at the International Polo Club of Palm Beach in honor of National Autism Awareness Month and to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to address this urgent global health crisis.
Designer b. michael was joined by collaborator and good friend Michael Gaffney, the founder of the nationally acclaimed school of floral design who created several amazing floral pieces, including the the fabulous hat worn by legendary actress Cicely Tyson and Tony Award-winner Melba Moore. Famed original Supreme’s member Mary Wilson entertained the crowd, singing the national anthem. This event was fitting for the singer whose using her fame to promote humanitarian efforts to end hunger, raise awareness for various causes and encourage world peace.
Tyson and b. michael started the match by administering the coin toss. The afternoon to remember was sponsored by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. A portion of this event’s proceeds will support the initiatives of Autism Speaks. –yvette caslin
