Chicago’s Finest rap artist/actor Common honored Dr. Maya Angelou in Chicago over the weekend during the Common Ground Foundation Gala. The Common Ground Foundation supports disenfranchised youths. Other celebrities honored included singer Keke Palmer, entrepreneur Dee Robinson Reid and actress and TV host Sherri Shepherd. Rahm Emanuel, the Mayor-Elect of Chicago, was also in the house.
