Tami Spends Mother's Day at Purple Rain Restaurant & Lounge
Rachel Tran and Tami

My kids wanted to do something fun to celebrate Mother’s Day with me, so I said, “Hey, let’s go to my friend Rachel’s place.” The kids had never met her, but I told them they would love the newly opened spot in Duluth, Ga.

I put on one of my favorite dresses and one of the biggest hats I own, and we were off to brunch at Purple Rain Restaurant & Lounge. It was a gorgeous day here in Atlanta,  so I was excited to get out and enjoy the sunshine.

Tami Spends Mother's Day at Purple Rain Restaurant & LoungeWhen we arrived at the restaurant, we could smell the aroma of delicious food in the air, and Mom was hungry! We were seated promptly by the hostess, and our waitress directed all of us to the Mother’s Day buffet. There was a signature breakfast table, omelet station, carving station, dessert station and fresh fruit station. I filled my plate with gourmet shrimp and grits and crispy bacon, then headed over to the carving station for some turkey. Everything was very scrumptious. My kids handed me a pink-wrapped gift filled with Bath & Body Works goodies, which just made an enjoyable day even better. Gotta love the kids!

I also got a chance to see Rachel Tran, the owner of Purple Rain, and her family as they also enjoyed Mother’s Day. If you’re ever in the Duluth, Ga., area of Atlanta you should stop in for breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch or dinner. It has a chic atmosphere and tasty cocktails! With over 9,000 square feet, great music and the best deejays and live bands, you are sure to have a  marvelous time.
