Candy, hookah, drinks, manicures and music … The GlamBar Salon had a lot to celebrate during their two-year anniversary party on May 12. Talking Pretty got the inside exclusive for the chichi event.
Outside the venue, a bubble-gum pink tent was set up, replete with bubbles flowing into the air and a pink hookah station. Inside, old-school glass jars dispersed throughout the space were filled with a plethora of candy, which made the party that much sweeter. Owner Sabrina Peterson got the party jumpin’ with DJ Traci Steele, who was spinning all the new hits.
The lovely host of the night, Teyana Taylor, made a fashion statement in her navy blue high waist trouser pants, gray crop top, chunky necklace and signature curly hair. Artist D. Woods wore a printed jumper, a ‘Killer Lipstick’ two-finger ring, fun bamboo earrings, and topped her look off with a sassy high bun.
Celebrity guests included Sean Garrett, former Cash Money first lady Strings, Pastor Troy and recording artist Mika Means.
Not only was GlamBar celebrating its aggressive growth and girl power, but they also had a special dedication to stylist Dariel Pulliam, a close friend and former stylist at the salon.
GlamBar clients and attendees enjoyed this ultimate girl’s playground event where they got a first look at some of the beauty industry’s newest developments — including Glisten Hair Bling, 24K nail polish infused with real gold, Violent Lips‘ glamorous lip colors and gift bags galore.
The GlamBar plans to expand the VIP beauty lounge experience to Charlotte, N.C., Miami, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles in the near future. To check out The GlamBar Salon, visit www.theglambar.com. –mckenzie harris
