Just months after relaxing her restraining order against her former boyfriend, Chris Brown, Rihanna seems to be growing more comfortable with the idea of reconciling with Brown after it was discovered this weekend that the two are now following each other on the social networking site, Twitter, causing an uproar from angry Rihanna fans.
According to billboard.com, the two swapped follow backs on May 14 after Brown, who infamously beat Rihanna before the 2009 Grammy awards, began following the Bajan pop star. Following suit, Rihanna began to follow Brown, as well.
Once fans realized what had happened, Rihanna was blasted with angry tweets, criticizing her for apparently attempting to make peace with Brown.
One fan in particular, @iStan4Rihanna, tweeted, “I never thought you would go back to him! You better not, its your life but you do have ppl that look up to you. e.g young girls”
Rihanna, who’s been very vocal in the past when it comes to criticism, fired back at the young fan, tweeting, “”Its f—-n twitter, not the alter! Calm down.”
After the fan, who claims to be a 14-year-old girl, apologized, Rihanna issued her own apology, claiming she simply wanted to set the record straight.
“Babygirl I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt or offend u! Just needed to make it clear to the Navy [Rihanna’s fans’ nickname] … xoxo,” tweeted Rihanna, before following the fan.
