Jill Scott fans it is time to get excited—jump up and shout because the sultry, soulful songstresses fifth album ‘The Light of the Sun,’ will premiere in stores June 21, a week earlier than originally expected. The latest single ‘So in Love’ is a fan favorite. AOL Music reports that the single has claimed the No. 1 greatest gainer position for the fourth straight week—which is the biggest debut in Scott’s overall career. ‘The Light of the Sun,’ executive produced by Jill Scott and J.R Hutson, will feature guest appearances by Paul Wall, Anthony Hamilton, Doug E. Fresh and Eve, and showcase production by Dre & Vidal and Warryn Campbell.
The Grammy Award winner will be taking her dynamic vocals to ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ on June 17, then outdoor’s to the big stage on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on June 23 and then perform on ‘Live! With Regis & Kelly’ on June 30. Be sure to set the reminders on your TV’s ahead of time because these are performances that you definitely do not want to miss!
