Former New York Giant, David Tyree, Says Gay Marriage Will Cause ‘Anarchy’

David Tyree, former Super Bowl hero for the New York Giants, warns Americans that gay marriage will cause “anarchy” if it is legalized.

Tyree delivered the harsh words while making a video for the National Organization for Marriage recently.
“If they pass this gay-marriage bill, what I know will happen is this will be the beginning of our country sliding toward … it’s a strong word, but, anarchy,” Tyree said.
“That will be the moment itself where our country loses its grip with what’s right. Marriage is one of those things that is the backbone of society. So, if you redefine it, it changes the way we educate our children, it changes the perception of what is good, what is right, what is just,” Tyree added.
New York State is the latest political battlefield where traditional and gay marriage proponents have had high-profile collisions. Backers of legalized gay marriage buck back at anti-gay marriage advocates, such as Tyree, saying America is a country where the divorce rate has risen north of 50 percent; therefore, traditionalists lack the moral ground to define marriage in such limited terms for other people.
