Rolling Papers tour hit Houston last night and there was smoke clouds constantly rising into the air from the crowd in Reliant Arena at Wiz Khalifa’s sold-out show. Khalifa kept the crowd energized the entire night with mixtape classics and recent hits like “Roll Up” and “Black and Yellow” from his new album Rolling Papers.
The audience ranged from white high school kids rapping along to Khalifa’s rhymes to black college kids dancing along to the beat. Even though his audience looked like they all just finished studying notes for summer school, they all had to be impressed by the rapper’s talent and stage presence.
Dressed as if he should be in the crowd himself instead of performing on the stage, with a simple white tee and jeans, Khalifa performed as if there was no tomorrow. He danced all over the stage, jumping as high as he can while perfectly synchronizing his mannerisms to his music. He was able to display his musical depth as the talented Pittsburgh rapper performed upbeat party songs like “Taylor Gang” and also slower, more calming songs like “Fly Solo.” The crowd sang along to every word. He also made time to kiss all over his girlfriend Amber Rose in the middle of his set.
Wiz Khalifa made sure to put on a great show the entire night. –@AerykwithanA
