With the growing popularity of the “housewife epidemic” in the media and entertainment industry, it’s actually no surprise that Detroit based evangelist, relationship adviser and author, Ty Adams, decided to create a little housewife action/drama of her own…with a twist of course. Adams recently announced the creation of “The Real Housewives of the Bible,” a DVD series inspired by previous outrageous reality “house wive”  shows. “The show will address the challenges and the obstacles of trying to become a wife. “We’re going to deal with sex, relationships … we’re going to bring in a whole ‘nother level. We’re going to bring the ‘Real Housewives of the Bible’ alive, ” said Adams. CNN reported that the two-part DVD series will be similar to Bravo’s “The Real Housewives” series in that it will follow six women navigating the ups and downs of marriage, but it will appeal to a more wholesome audience.

So what are Adams motives for the creation of this DVD series, you ask? Well, she exclaims,”I was frustrated with what I was seeing. A lot of society is looking towards programming to educate them on relationships and these shows haven’t effectively done that. They have ruined and tainted our ability to secure good relationships and to make women into good wives.” Chile,  she must be talking about VH1’s “Basketball Wives” (side eye).

Each character (fictional) on the show represents a different woman from the Bible. A character based on the biblical Sarah struggles with infertility. (The biblical Sarah was barren until she reached old age). Gold-digging women are likened to Delilah from the Book of Judges, who seduced and deceived Samson – who’d fallen in love with her – through repetitious requests. And best believe the show features plenty of Jezebels.

Some of the most notorious women hail from the historical pages of the Holy Book so it will be interesting to see what these “Biblical TV wives” have to bring to the table. Do you approve of these fictional housewives?
