With the end of the epic Harry Potter film series quickly nearing, one of the franchise’s biggest stars, Tom Felton, better known as Hogwarts bully Draco Malfoy, is already setting his sights on a new career, announcing that he now wants to become a British rap star.
According to The Sun, Felton has already signed a deal with an independent U.K. label and wants to fashion his debut album after the style of British hip-hop group N-Dubz.
“I was thinking of doing some N-Dubz-style stuff. I am looking to get into the grime rap U.K. scene,” said Felton.
While remaining mum about the details of his upcoming album, the 23-year-old noted that he wants his look to reflect the image of N-Dubz front man and fashion eccentric, Costadinos “Dappy” Contostavlos
“I’m going to change my image — backward caps, the lot. […] It’s still under wraps so I can’t really talk about it,” said Felton.
Only time will tell if Felton will actually become the next big thing in British hip-hop, but until then the young actor will remain busy promoting the eighth and final Harry Potter film, The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, as well as preparing for starring roles in five upcoming films including a lead role in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. –nicholas robinson
