Kelly Rowland and LaLa Anthony Work It Out for 'Shape' Mag

Kelly Rowland is quite a busy woman nowadays. With a new album scheduled for release next week, she is gearing up for the promo tour in more ways than one. Kelly is featured in an upcoming issue of Shape magazine with bestie Lala Anthony, showing the benefits of having a workout buddy. According to the magazine, by incorporating the buddy system into your existing workout routine, you’re more likely to succeed in your endeavors versus doing it alone. Demonstrated by Kelly and Lala are several effective ‘buddy’ exercises, such as the Side Plank Row, Seesaw Press, Squat Pass, Piggyback Curl, and more with the help of trainer Becky Tinney.

Kelly also shares some advice for those who doubt they’ll maximize their workout with the buddy method by saying,


“Even when you’re holding a position while your friend moves, you’ll sculpting your muscles by isometrically contracting them. You can double the burn from every exercise.”
