Rumor Has It: Janet Jackson Engaged to Billionaire Boyfriend

Janet Jackson has been popping back up in the rumor mill, amidst reports of an engagement. The iconic singer and her billionaire beau Wissam Al-Mana have allegedly been engaged since last year and are getting ready to jump the broom sometime next year. Rumor has it that Wissam proposed to Janet during her ‘Number One: Up Close and Personal’ tour, presenting her with a 15-carat diamond ring.

This would be Janet’s third marriage, after being married to singer James DeBarge for less than a year and music video director Rene Elizondo for nine years. She also took part in a highly publicized relationship with famed producer Jermaine Dupri for seven years, which ended in 2009.

In November 2010, Janet told Access Hollywood that she’d love to settle down:

“I’d love to have a family. But really, it’s in God’s hands. So, if it’s meant to be, I’ll have one. I hope it does.”

That was definitely the polar opposite of her interview with E! online in 2008. While dating Jermaine Dupri, she was adamantly against marrying once again:

“The thing it, I don’t know if I ever will or won’t get married again. I’m very happy where I am. I just think I jinx marriages, but that’s not going to stop me from loving.”

If there’s any truth to these rumors, then her new boo was able to change her mind in ways JD was incapable of. Hopefully, third time’s the charm for JJ!
